UPDATES

​We’re looking forward to another fantastic and fun year at P.E.A.C.E., and we have several exciting updates to share with you!

Schedule and Programming Updates

• New Schedule Rhythm: This year, we’ll be following a 7-weeks-on, 1-week-off format. Each cycle will include six academic weeks followed by one special event week filled with engaging clubs and activities for students of all ages.

• Club Week Launch: During the seventh week of each cycle, students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of clubs. More details about club offerings and sign-ups will be shared soon—stay tuned!

Classroom and Grade Grouping Changes

• Lower Elementary will now include Kindergarten through 3rd grade, and will be divided into two smaller cohorts for core academics. These groups will come together for select activities and enrichment sessions.

• Upper Elementary will now include 4th through 6th grade.

• Classroom Locations:

  • Lower Elementary will meet in the small classroom next to the kitchen.

  • Middle School will move to the area next to the dance floor.

Middle School Staffing Updates

We’re thrilled to welcome some new faces to our middle school team!

• Ms. Karen Deheer will be joining us as our Middle School Science (Biology) teacher. Ms. Karen is a retired nurse practitioner with a wealth of experience, deep knowledge, and a passion for teaching biology.

• Ms. Mya Morton will be stepping in as our Middle School Health teacher. She brings great energy and is very excited to join and support the middle school classroom.

• Ms. JeNaye will also be assisting in the middle school, helping to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.

Support Staff Assignments

• Ms. Terri will be assisting in Lower Elementary.

• Ms. Tia will be supporting Upper Elementary.

We’re grateful for our dedicated team and the care they bring to each classroom community.

Electives & Enrichment

We’re excited to offer a variety of new and returning electives across all levels this year, including:

• Spanish

• Physical Education

• Music Appreciation

• Art

• Woodworking

Our elective schedule has been finalized in advance this year—please check the calendar tab for full details and timing.

Hot Lunch Payment Change – Now Monthly!

We’ve simplified our hot lunch system! Instead of paying by session, families will now pay monthly for hot lunch service.

• Cost: $14 per student, per month

• Due Date: Payments are due by the 20th of the month prior to the month you’d like your child to receive hot lunch.

  • Example: If you want hot lunch for October, payment is due by September 20

 

While the format has changed, the total cost balances out to be about the same as previous session-based payments. This change helps streamline lunch planning and ensures a smoother experience for our kitchen team.
